REBATES & SUBSIDIES

Medicare rebates

Medicare rebates are available for individuals with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Medicare provides a rebate of $98.95 for a 50+ minute session and $70.25 for a 20-50 minute session. You can access an initial 6 sessions and if appropriate your referring doctor may approve an additional 4 sessions (10 total per calendar year). You are required to pay the full amount at the time of your session and your Medicare rebate will be paid into your nominated account.

Health fund rebates

You may be eligible for health fund rebates. Check with your insurer. If you have used all of your Medicare funded sessions, you can use health insurance to claim rebates for additional sessions. You cannot claim both a Medicare and health fund rebate for the same session.

NDIS funded services

I am not an NDIS registered provider but you may be eligible for NDIS funded services if you are self or plan managed. Check with your plan manager or the NDIA.

DVA services

If you have a DVA card you may be eligible for subsidised services. You will need to get a DVA Mental Health Care Plan from your doctor and can access up to 12 sessions per cycle. I offer a limited number of DVA sessions as these sessions are fully bulk billed below my standard rate. Please contact me to see if I am taking new DVA clients.

Subsidised sessions for low income individuals

Discounted rates may be available for health care card and low income individuals (during off peak times only and subject to availability). You must pay the full fee at the time of the session. If you have a mental health care plan your rebate will be processed after the fee is paid and the rebate paid into your nominated bank account. I do not offer fully bulk billed services.
